The Rasenna have probably what is considered to be the hardest starts for Rising Tide, but it is probably the easiest too if you are capable of blitzing a warpath early on. Almost all the Supply Centres you need are within reach from your position in Europe, while you have access to three Iron Ore sites - your home region of Etruria already has one.

From the beginning, you should try to forge an alliance with either Egypt or Phoenicia. Both factions are eager for allies, and will happily accept any offers you make them. This will allow you to then concentrate on several dangerous neighbours - the Greeks, the Germans and the Celts. Of these the Celts are the most dangerous, frequently asking for Tribute from you especially if you have managed to seize Raition, until they themselves are destroyed.

As most Supply Centres are located in Europe, this is where you should begin. Take out Raition first, to boost your armies, and then move forward and take out the other European Supply Centres. Don't be afraid to pay Tribute for a new Supply Centre, as it will allow you a new army for use to gain more land. Pay attention to whoever is capturing Iron Ore centres - while the Astura Iron Ore deposit is too far to be captured, there will most certainly be others east of your position.
