Forming the historical Fertile Crescent region, Western Asia is in essence the cockpit of the Warbirth universe. Almost 25% of all the playable faction of both campaigns are located in these lands, where they often form different shifting alliances with one another.

Hatti will change hands and names depending on the CtW - it is either Hatti, or Phrygia. Equally, the capitals change - the Phyrigian capital is either near Lydia, or Hatti whereby it changes name. Equally, Nairi is the capital of the Urartians, the successor state of the Mittani. Arzawa is the capital of the Trojans/Lydians. Other changes: Hurşidabat => Tumanna
The Iron Ore mine of Hurşidabat is the only one existing at the beginning of the Early CtW.
The barbarians of this land too will change, in Rising Tide they are Hurrians; in Blood and Iron they are Cimmerians.

Notes
Known also as Buranun, the Land of Two Rivers, Buranun is by far the most developed and heavily settled region of all the western lands. Buranun is the heartland of the old Sumerian world, and its three heirs - Assur, Babylon and Elam.
Factions
Only Aram, Northern Canaan and Zamua are ever consistently empty. Northern Canaan and Southern Canaan are renamed as Phoenicia and Israel in Blood and Iron, while the capital of the Mitanni is moved away from Purattu to Hayasa in the Late CtW - and the Hebrews based at Israel.
Barbarians change; in Rising Tide this area is colonised by Canaanites; in Blood and Iron they are replaced by Aramaeans.
