The Euskaldunak have the power of the Highlands.

Since time out of mind, the Euskaldunak have lived throughout the lands of of the Pyrenees as hunter-gatherers and farmers, now in hillside caves; now in villages out in the plains and valleys. Euskaldun ways are as old as time itself, but new changes throughout the world are now afoot. New people from distant lands have arrived in neighbouring lands, spreading new wealth, new ideas as well as new tragedies. A group of these foreigners may have settled south, creating a web of colonies centred around the mighty city of Tartessos now known as the Iberians. More ominously, strange sightings of foreign men moving in from the east have begun to spread from campfire to campfire, while shamans present red visions of blades and darkness in faraway distant lands.

It is truly a time of great upheaval, and possibly even the Azkenaldia - the end of days - itself. Be it as it may, the Euskaldun homeland is rich in resources, particularly gold, and being mountain folk has made them doughty survivalists and warriors, owing to the harsh and austere existence eked out by the majority of the Euskaldunak - be it as farmers, hunters or shepherds. Knowledge of this way of life has also lent them an edge of resilience which foreign invaders will be hard pressed to overcome should they dare to set foot in Euskaldun lands, but the Euskaldunak are still very much a divided people. Perhaps, great prince must arise amidst all the petty chieftains and forge a new identity and world for the Euskaldunak, before their enemies do it for them.
