Spearman design[edit | edit source]
- Spear levy: No armour
- Mycenaeans are clothed. Either with sleeved tunics, or simple "potato sacks". Give them simple leather helmets.
- Spearmen: A crude linothorax or clothes. Ie for instance, for Egyptian and Semitic armies there is use of linen or leather.
- Medium spearmen: Fully clothed. Wears either a scale waistcoat, or a kardiophylax. We will need the Spanish to reach this point.
- Semites: Leather aspis for Semites
- Aegean: Crude hide aspis for Greeks (read: Trojans)
- Asian: Only Zhou dynasty should obtain this level of development.
- Egypt: Padded armour. Only Egypt should obtain this level of development
- Indo-European: Only Phrygians should obtain this level of development. Celts get Arjos. Leather armour and helmets and ... pajamas.
- Heavy spearmen - just recycle the old RoK spearman for Assyria. Carries a heavy pavise.
