Overall strategy[edit | edit source]
The Chariot is a medium cavalry which has an excellent rate of fire, thus making it the most efficient ranged unit early on in the game, and also has added hitpoints and armour. It, however, in addition to being weak to closeup attacks, is also costlier, so as a result while the Chariot can be expected to win in one-on-one engagements with most ranged units, they seldom prevail because their high cost often prevents them from being trained in large numbers.
So as a result, while the Chariot can be a very awesome unit to have early on in the game, its cost means that those factions forced to rely on them must be most judicious and prudent in their use, especially given that Chariots are rather weak to begin with. So they are thus best used, like all chariots, in tandem with infantry, and should be used chiefly to attack only melee infantry units wherever they are found.

This is an exact copy of the Heavy Chariot.
Chariots and War Chariots are available in Kings & Conquerors: Hammurabi, and replace the original Light, Medium and Heavy chariotry of Warbirth.
