The Captain is the main officer unit of Warbirth: Age of Chariots, and his task is mainly to serve the same task that Generals do in the basic vanilla version of Rise of Nations. Little else need to be mentioned, other than the fact that Captains are available only if the second Green government - Tribal Confederacy Policies Tribal Confederacy - was researched.

The Captain distinguishes itself from Warlords, as trained by some faction, in that although it is clearly weaker, it is cheaper to create, and also has good maximum LOS, only if Culture techs are researched from the Library,

Notes[edit | edit source]

What about captains?

  • Chariot-borne: Greek, Chinese, Egyptian, Akkadian, european.
    • Chinese, Egyptian and Akkadian can be taken from Hong.
  • Horseborne: Korean, Iranian, Thracian
  • AoC's Arabs use the vanilla camel general used by vanilla Afro-Arab civs.

And Alexander?

  • Taxiarch - a unique Greek unit, trained by all Greek factions except Epeiros, Macedon, Larissa and Corinth. However, Carthage, Odrysoi and Tyrsenoi get them too. Available regardless of governments.
    • Unlike Kings & Conquerors, TAxiarchoi are in effect a version of the Logades, accompanied by a Greek heavy swordsman.
